Semiconductor nanocrystals have been intensively studied due to their quantum confinement effect and size-dependent photo-emission characteristics.In particular,three-dimensionally (3-D)confined CdSe-based quantum dots have been extensively studied for biological labeling,light emitting diodes,and lasers.
