摘要

In this paper we explore a model concerning the DNA polymer chains, in which pairs of mass lumps are connected by a hydrogen bond, these pairs constituting the unit cells of the polymer. We assume the cell-to-cell couplings to be purely harmonic forces. Thus, our model treats the combined effect of both optical breathing phonons and transverse acoustic phonons. In this way, by numerical integration of the equations of motion which take into account both the elastic intercell forces and the intracell ones, we have obtained soliton-like states in the case of increased pulse amplitudes, which brought the motion well into a nonlinear range.
