Group Processes in Experiential Training Groups in Botswana

While group counseling has the potential to be an effective form of intervention in sub-Saharan Africa, research on group processes that would help guide group interventions in the region is scarce. This study investigated therapeutic factors and group climate in experiential training groups in Botswana. The Critical Incident Questionnaire (CIQ; Bloch, Reibstein, Crouch, Holroyd, & Themen, 1979) and the Group Climate Questionnaire-Short (GCQ-S; MacKenzie, 198322. MacKenzie , K. R. ( 1983 ).
