摘要

In this paper, a genetic algorithm based knowledge auto-acquisition approach for fault diagnosis is proposed. Under the circumstances that diagnostic examples are available but no empirical knowledge can be obtained, knowledge for fault diagnosis can be directly generated from given diagnostic examples utilizing genetic algorithm. Its algorithm and procedure are discussed and described. Particularly for fault diagnosis of rotating machinery, application examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
