摘要

The present study provides measured performance, including flux distribution, power output, and temporal variations, of both individual radiation units and all units operating concurrently of the University of Minnesota high flux solar concentrator. When all seven radiation units are in operation, the solar simulator provides up to 9.2 ±1.1 kW of thermal power to a Ø60 mm focal area, corresponding to an average flux of 3240 ± 390 kW m~(-2) , with a peak flux of 7300 ± 890 kW m~(-2), as averaged over a Ø10 mm focal area. The solar simulator is a suitable radiation source for testing prototype solar receivers and reactors indoors and under controlled, repeatable conditions.
