PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable solar simulator of high heat radiation performance, capable of being easily installed to a solar panel installed outdoors to inspect output characteristic of the solar panel.;SOLUTION: A solar simulator includes a pair of rectangular cases respectively composed of a flat plate-shaped rectangular bottom plate 51 (61), and four sheets of flat plate-shaped rectangular side plates vertically disposed while being fixed to each of side edges of the bottom plate, and a connecting member 16 openably and closably connecting the pair of rectangular cases. In each of the rectangular cases, a circuit board 72 is disposed on a face at a side opposite to a face exposed to the external of the bottom plate, and an LED element array 70 composed of a number of LED elements disposed in the shape of matrix at equal intervals is arranged on a face at a side opposite to a face kept into contact with the bottom plate of the circuit board. Each of bottom plates of the pair of rectangular cases is composed of a thin metallic or non-metallic heat radiation plate.
