A review of electrochemical treatments for colour elimination

摘要

The application of electrochemical techniques as a tertiary treatment to eliminate colour from textile effluents has increased rapidly in the last few years. In general, the dyes are decomposed by partial oxidation. Studies on electrochemical treatments to decolourise various types of dyes are presented. They indicate that these treatments provide good efficiency in colour removal, although they are still under study at pilot-plant scale.
