This is the revised and expanded edition of the work originally published in 1997 and contains a wealth of new information about decorations, further services and casualty lists. It is not the only work covering the history of the RIC but is the only work by an experienced researcher covering both the history of the RIC and the contents of the service records. Included at the beginning is a very useful Glossary. The nomenclature and ranks within the RIC were unusual and changed over time, and the glossary avoids any confusion amongst those not already familiar with the terminology.
