Digital preservation in libraries: preparing for a sustainable future

This new anthology from the American Library Association brings together a series of essays, explorations, and case studies on the theme of digital preservation in libraries. The book is broken down into six topical sections: history and theories; frameworks, strategies and systems; digital preservation in individual institutions; digital preservation of specific material types; collaborative efforts; and copyright. Each section includes at least two chapters, with each presenting a different perspective or experience from a series of different authors and institutions. Authors are mainly based in US university libraries but there are occasional interspersions from elsewhere and further afield, including the UK and India.
