Applications may be submitted for three grades of membership. (Student memberships are also available - a student brochure and application will be sent upon request.) The grades of Fellow and Honorary Member are awarded upon nomination.rnThe grade of MEMBER may be accorded exclusively to persons having competence and important experience in naval architecture, marine engineering or another phase of engineering or science closely allied with the marine industry.
