摘要

Considerable P-wave energy can reside on the horizontal phone in 3D VSP (Vertical Seismic Profiling) and long offset multicomponent recording. To be able to accurately use this information, we need to consider the polarization effects of P-waves traveling through elastic, anisotropic media. To this end, we have developed a traveltime and amplitude calculation method for elastic and anisotropic media using the Suppressed Wave Equation Estimation of Traveltime (SWEET) algorithm suitable for inclusion in a prestack Kirchhoff depth migration algorithm. By applying this algorithm to two-dimensional, fully elastic and anisotropic velocity models, we found that we could obtain accurate traveltimes and polarized amplitudes of P-wave first arrivals. We present some numerical examples for several media with homogeneous isotropic model, the elastic Marmousi model and a homogeneous anisotropic model.
