The extraction behaviour of Mo(VI), W(Vl), Fe(III), Ca(II) Mn(II) Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) using Cyanex 925 is reported. The effect of various parameters such as nature of the diluent and concentration of The acid, metal ion and the extractant on the distribution is highlighted. The regeneration and recycling Capacity of the extractant has also been assesssed. Based on the distribution data, some binary separations Are proposed. A procedure developed for the recovery of tungsten from its ores is peported.
