A New Computationally Efficient Numerical Method for Analysis of Vibration of Plate Structures

摘要

A new computationally efficient numerical technique has been developed to analyse vibration problems of different shaped plates with various boundary conditions at the edges. Plates with some complicating effects, viz variable thickness, non-homogeneous, and orthotropic material properties have been studied. A systematic procedure has also been provided to generate a sequence of boundary characteristic orthogonal Polynomials over a given domain. The numerical procedure presented has been found to be useful for Vibration problems of plate structures.
