The outturn of highly qualified (doctorate) scientific and technical (S&T) manpower from all the Institutions of higher learning of the country during the period 1990-1998 is reported. The introductory issues n the total outturn of doctorates from the faculty of Natural Science, Engineering and Technology, Medicine, Agricultural and Veterinary sciences are presented.
