Problems and Solutions for Social Science Journals at Chinese Universities

摘要

As an academic vehicle, social science journals undoubtedly play an important role in cultural communication. And with the development of research in the humanities and social sciences in China, universities’ social science journals have also undergone rapid development; there are still problems, however, including limited regional authorship, lack of individuality, small circulation, and a tendency toward pan-politicization, that hinder the further development of our journals. The article discusses solutions to these problems, including strict peer review, an emphasis on journals’ individuality, a strengthening of journals’ market awareness, and the expediting of internationalization.
