The new version of MIL-HDBK-189 that will soon be released for review and coordination is a source of much more information on reliability growth methodologies than the old version. The new version breaks down each major reliability growth category into subcategories so that the reader can easily focus on the models and methodology of most interest. For each area of reliability growth methodology the handbook starts the discussion at a general level. Then, in later material, the handbook goes into some level of detail and background. Multiple references are now included for readers that require further information for any of the reliability growth topics.
