This second collection of photographs chronicles the closing years of the Stroudwater and Thames & Severn Canals which linked England's two longest rivers via the Stroud and Golden Valleys, formerly centres for woollen cloth manufacture, and restoration projects of the Cotswold Canals Trust. The book follows a trusted format with numerous photographs from various sources many with expanded captions. First published in 1993, minor text modifications and more recent photographs take into account the ensuing years. The final years of activity in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and the inevitable dereliction are depicted.
