This is the second volume of the history of this interesting Staffordshire railway. In it, the author traces the further development of the South Staffordshire Railway Company, the story of the line from Walsall to Cannock on to Rugeley, together with the complex of lines which served the collieries of the Cannock Chase. As in the previous volume, a description of the line, its lineside features and the local history from Walsall to Cannock are included.
