John Cooke Bourne (1814-1896), lithographer: Drawings of the London & Birmingham Railway (1836-1838)

The chapter offered here is one of a series, each of which provides an oversight of the major engineering works being undertaken in connection with the London & Birmingham Railway (L&B) as witnessed through the contemporary lithographs of John Cooke Bourne. Importantly this chapter and those to follow also make use of his unpublished wash drawings to be found in the National Railway Museum.
