As the following five articles will all attest, Rush Limbaugh's remarks about Georgetown University Law School student Sandra Fluke on February 29, 2012 brought a firestorm that tested the mettle of his golden ElB microphone. From canceled advertising contracts to loud and furious calls for his removal from the airwaves, the reaction to the broadcast giant's words elicited strong emotions on both sides of the political spectrum. Indeed, many of Mr. Limbaugh's political allies and loyal business partners alternately refused to defend him or openly criticized his statements.
