International Team Excellence Award Showcases Collaborative Problem Solving

In 1985, the Association for Quality and Participation, now part of ASQ, launched the International Team Excellence Award (ITEA). Since that time, more than 830 teams have participated in the process including teams from the United States, Canada, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Mexico. Furthermore, teams have come from a variety of organizational types, including manufacturing, service, government, and the military. A second version of the award process, specifically for education institution teams, is now conducted each fall in association with the National Quality Education Conference.
