In organizations and markets that are increasingly global, leaders must recognize that each culture has its own values, norms of behavior, and assumptions about quality, improvement, and teamwork. The cultural forces and archetypes that drive Americans are not necessarily shared by people of different heritages. A knowledge of and appreciation for these differences helps current and future leaders bring success to their organizations both with diverse workers in the United States and at locations abroad.
