Excessive behavior tends to be labeled as a behavior-related addiction disorder. Concerning excessive online role-play gaming the addiction theory is critically discussed from a psychodramatic perspective. Considering complex and in many cases overstraining circumstances, living in virtual worlds provides the individual with opportunities that are not accessible in real life. Personalized clinical diagnostics do in fact prevent a clear view of conditions which determine addiction disorders. A case study completes the theoretical explanations.
