摘要

A numerical boundary-element method (BEM) that solves for single-phase incompressible flow in a complex fracture system has been used to account for flow through both the matrix and fracture systems. From the flow solution, art effective-permeability tensor can be calculated for each simulation gridblock that is used in a conventional simulator. The full-length paper details two examples of the BEM. One application is for the tight gas/condensate Carter Knox field in Oklahoma, undergoing primary-depletion development. The other application is for a tertiary-oil-recovery project at Rangely field in Colorado.
