The preparation of chiral compounds in enantiomeri- cally pure form is an argument of increasing interest in the preparation of fine chemicals. The various tech- niques which can be applied to the production of chirality have been considered. Among them, the possibility of obtaining pure enantiomers using crystallization as a key step is still the most successful way to reach the goal.
