摘要

Compounds of diverse structures have been isolated from the sponge geonus Jaspis (Choristida, jaspidae) which makes this an enticing organism for chemical study. The malabaricane triterpenes, first reported in 1981 by Wells, from jaspis stellifera have, over the years, been found from this sponge as ell as from Stelleta globostellata.
