摘要

We theoretically study the slow light in the quantum dot molecules with Y-type energy levels. With applied electric field, electromagnetically induced transparency and tunneling induced transparency occur in the QD molecules at the same time. The transparency window is divided into two parts by an absorption peak, and the absorption peak can be tuned by the applied electric field. The velocity and bandwidth of the slow light can also be controlled by the applied electric field in each transparency window. With an applied electric field, we can get 0.01 C and 0.002 C in the transparency windows respectively. Such a system may be applied in all optical buffers, all optical switching and tunable optical notch filter.
