摘要

A series of oxyfluoro aluminium-borate base glass used in upconversion laser and fiber devices is prepared by the conventional melt-quenching technique. Due to the ionic-covalent property of Li+ ion, the optical properties of the glasses are studied during the lithium oxide substitution by lithium fluoride. The study revealed that with increasing LiF on the expense of Li2O a fluctuation is appeared in the values of glass molar volume, material dispersion, single oscillator energy, dispersion energy and lattice energy. The glasses show values for wavelength of zero material dispersion and pulse broadening due to chromatic group delay distortion comparable to that of silica-doped fibers. Chemical bond approach is applied to analyze and explain the obtained glass properties. The glasses with certain compositions revealed their possibility to be used in Telecom applications.
