AUV FOR C&C

Kongsberg Maritime has signed a contract to supply a second Hugin deep water Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) to Louisiana-based C&C Technologies. The Hugin 4500 is rated to work in 4500m water depth. It is 5.5m long and powered by a state-of-the-art Aluminium oxygen fuel cell battery, providing a mission endurance of more than 50h before resurfacing. Kongsberg Maritime is supplying a complete Hugin vehicle with controls and navigation including HiPAP, EM 2000 and Seapath 200. C&C is providing their own proprietary payload system and integrating the sensor packages.
