STUDY ON AMBIENT NOISE IN SAWMILL'S WORKSHOP

Ambient noise in 13 sawmill's workshops was tested and analyzed 10 reveal its character and regularity. The situation of the ambient noise in sawmill's workshops was evaluated. The problem of severe noise is common in the trade of sawmill, and is highlighted by countries worldwide. Since 1960s, noise has been investigated in aspects of source, absor-bance, insulation and so on in developed countries. When it comes to the 1970s, people began to research the effect of noise on human's physiology, psychology and work efficiency. Results of investigations show that the main damages of ambient noise in the trade of sawmill are the hurt of hearing, the obstruction of language communication and the decrease of productive efficiency.
