Chondroblastoma arising from acromion

Chondroblastoma is an uncommon benign tumor arising in the epiphysis of long bones such as humerus, tibia and femur while the skeletal or ex-traskeletal presentations are mostly unusual. The chondroblastoma arising from acromion process of scapulus has been extremely rare and only two cases can be screened out in the English literature. Here, we reported another case of chondroblastoma that developed on the acromion of scapulus. A 37-year-old male patient presented with right scapula pain and swelling on the acromion 2 years ago, and the first surgical erasion was performed in 4 months after scapulas pain, but one and half months later, local recurrence happened with more severe pain and swelling. The patient had suffered from the right scapula pain for another one and half years, and eventually was admitted to our clinic.
