Laser Beam Build-up Welding of Hot Working Tool Steels

摘要

In the present work, investigations connected to realization of a laser beam build -up welding technology of worn out parts and tools made of hot working and maraging steels. The technological potentiality and parameters of the process as well as the geometry of the built-up layer and the technological way of achieving it are established. The investigations are connected to realization of joint project between "Hoffman consult" and Institute of Metal Science- "Bulgarian academy of sciences" and are sponsored by the The "Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency" (BSMEPA) according to contract- IF 02-11/31.05.2006. The project concerns realization of a laser beam build-up welding technology of metal parts and tool surfaces using new materials as filler rods, which are capable of preserving their high technological properties during the welding process.
