Thermal Buckling Behaviour of Functionally Graded Material

摘要

Buckling of Functionally Graded Materials (FGMs) rectangular plates subjected to thermal variations is studied. The plate is modelled by using the Von Karman hypothesis and the equations of first order shear deformation theory. The validation checks on the program are carried out by using results on homogeneous isotropic plates available in the literature. Furthermore, the effects of temperature field, volume fraction distributions, and system geometric parameters are investigated. The results are compared with the results of the Classic Plate Theory (CPT).
