摘要

Some results for reduction of scale with carbon powder in an electrothermal rotary bed are presented. The process has been carried out in the temperature range 900-1000℃ under electrothermal rotary bed conditions. Scale size below 0.4 mm and graphite powder fraction below 0.2 mm as raw materials are used. The necessary heat for the process is generated directly in the reaction medium. The atmosphere in the furnace, based on electrothermal rotary bed, is nitrogen or argon. X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy and microhardness study of the products of synthesis are shown.
