摘要

An optimized design of a double-stroke wedge mechanism for mechanical opening of side cores in permanent molds for low pressure casting and gas counter pressure casting is provided. Proposed mechanical system is highly applicable in cases of limited space inside the casting tool. It represents a major improvement of the existing mechanisms with the same purpose, as it increases the reliability and improves the dynamics of the mechanism operation. Proposed compact double-stroke mechanical system can be used to obtain side opening moves in the range 0-150 mm.
