Rules of Arbitration of the Houston Maritime Arbitrators Association

Where parties have agreed in writing that a dispute shall be referred to arbitration under the Rules of the Houston Maritime Arbitrators Association, then such dispute shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with these Rules, as amended or supplemented to the date of such agreement, except as otherwise agreed in writing. These Rules shall govern the arbitration to the extent they are not contrary to mandatory provisions of applicable law, or the applicable arbitration clause or agreement, if any.
