Business School Learning Goals: The Legal and Regulatory Context of Organizations in a Global Economy

AACSB International (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) is the premier accrediting body for business schools. Of the thousands of business schools worldwide, fewer than five percent have met the high standards for AACSB accreditation.~1 The latest version of AACSB's accreditation standards was adopted in 2013 and updated in 2016.~2 One section of the standards relates to "Learning and Teaching." This section begins by noting the importance of learning goals: "High-quality business schools have processes for determining for each degree program learning goals that are relevant and appropriate ....
