Rheinbahn AG's latest contribution to sustainability Bus and rail travel companions: providing assistance as part of Duesseldorf's passenger support service

Almost 15 years ago, Duesseldorfer Rheinbahn AG's mission statement laid down the cornerstones for sustainable business practice. Rheinbahn's voluntary commitment to the environmental, economic and social pillars of sustainable development - under the umbrella of the International Association of Public Transport - underlined its ongoing pursuit of these goals. Becoming a pledge signatory to the UITP Charter for Sustainable Development, and full signatory in 2005, marked further milestones towards the sustainable development goal. Two corporate reports, 'Sustainability -the way forward, 2006' and 'Sustainability 2007 - our responsibility in figures', take this commitment a stage further. A comprehensive report is due to be published in 2009.
