Reducing the environmental impact of cruise ships navigating Bermuda's environmentally sensitive channels

The Bermuda Government established limits on the number of arriving cruise ship passengers based on the 'carrying capacity' of the most frequented visitor attractions and the ability of the transportation network to transport them. A Cruise Ports Master Plan was developed, with extensive consultation from the municipalities of Hamilton and St. George's and various community and environmental groups.
