Think bus: highlights from the 7th International Bus Conference Istanbul, Turkey, April 2012

On average 80% of all public transport trips worldwide are by bus. In Europe buses make up, on average, 60% of the public transport market share - this figure varies considerably, from 'only' 50% in big cities up to 100% share of public transport in small and medium sized cities. Buses have recently gained ground in this area, but are not alone - the car industry is also taking the challenge seriously. A political buzz surrounding electromobility has been detectable in the air over the last two years.
