This article provides a brief comparative overview of American and Egyptian cultures. It uses the seven dimensions of cultural polarity developed by Fons Trompenaars and his colleagues to cover two influential countries in world affairs: the United States, a representative of the developed world; and Egypt, a microcosm of the developing world.
