An experimental investigation of a type of Double-layer tensegrity grid

A 9m span (80m~2 covered area) double-layer tensegrity grid with a newly proposed member joint system has been constructed for testing. The present paper describes the joint system, construction, and static and dynamic testing of the grid. The experiment showed that the proposed grid is easy to construct and possesses the anticipated stiffness.
