摘要

Complex forms represent an interesting model of design for architecture students; however, there are difficulties concerning its teaching and its correct understanding, mainly of the abstract mathematical models, the visualization of the geometries and the uncertain structural behavior. These problems can be resolved with the use of certain technologies that allow the creation of experimental and virtual models that can be used by the students. It is quite necessary to analyze the geometries with architectural applications and the study of their structural behavior. At the same time, the computational and didactical methodologies are essential for the development of pedagogical techniques with reference to existent constructive cases. For this reasons, I chose the hyperbolic paraboloid geometry as study case.
