摘要

The mission of the Journal of Intelligent Information Systems: Integrating Artifical Intelligence and Database Technologies is to foster research and development efforts, focused on the integration of artifical intelligence and database technologies to create next generation information systems—Intelligent Information Systems. These information systems embody knowledge that allows them to: 1) Exhibit intelligent behavior through knowledge-directed inference processes; 2) Cooperate with users, agents and other systems in problem solving; 3) Provide recommendations to users in semantic query formulation and refinement; 4) Discover, access, retrieve and manipulate of a wide variety of multimedia data and knowledge services; and 5) Reason about information under uncertain conditions.
