摘要

Because of their simplicity, the relations aL~b and cV~d between the absorption loss P_(abs) and the path length L, as well as P_(abs) and visibility Vare carried out to evaluate the loss in sand and dust storms. Values for the frequency dependent parameters a, b, c and d for millimeter wave frequency range have been calculated using non -linear regression to develop a model which can be used to estimate the loss for given frequency and visibility/length. The results obtained from the relationships are in good agreement with transmission concepts for absorption loss.
