摘要

In-sodium testing facility (INSOT) at elevated temperatures for materials used in fast breeder reactors is extremely essential. A testing facility has been developed in the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR). Heating methodology and various heater control methods are described. One group of heaters is connected only in the pipeline, next group is laid in both the pipeline and components and the last group is laid in the components. In this way a total of 250 heaters in the fatigue loop are grouped into eleven groups. This paper presents the way each group is individually studied and control methodology is also reviewed.
