ITP SEMINAR BRINGS INDUSTRY TOGETHER

Innovation has driven our industry and always will. Yes, there have been the occasional disruptive game changers - Apple's introduction of its smartphone is a good example - but, in the main, it's the coming together of numerous incremental innovations that changes the game for ever. And that's the case with Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV) and its associated Software Defined Networking (SDN) - admittedly not the zippiest of names but, nevertheless, set to make a radical change to the industry and its customers over the next five to 10 years. Yet few people in the industry, let alone its customers, will have heard of NFV or SDN. It was against this backdrop that the ITP invited speakers and panellists from BT, Alcatel-Lucent, Intel, GENBAND and Analysys Mason to help lift the lid on this hugely important topic.
