Information policies: premonitions and prospects

摘要

The aim of this paper is to review very hroadly the environment in which research into, and the formulation of, future information policies has to be undertaken. In other words, what requirements and constraints the future is likely to impose; what the economic scene is likely to be; what problems the rapidly changing information society creates for policy formulation, and what concerns the new European and global political orders may bring.
