Explicit Determinant Formulas of Generalized Restrictive Pade Approximation

In this paper, a generalized restrictive Pade approximation is introduced. And the explicit determinant formulas are presented. The main results are motivated by the work of Hassan N. A. Ismail [Applied Mathematics and Computation, 152 (2004), 89-97] who derived a general theory for solvability and uniqueness of restrictive Pade and restrictive Taylor approximations. It is shown that the restrictive Pade and restrictive Taylor approximations are two special cases of the constructed approximation. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of generalized restrictive Pade approximation.
