Robust Performance Analysis of a Class of Nonlinear Networked Systems with Time Delays

In this paper, we design a predictive control scheme for a class of nonlinear networked systems with random time delays and analyze the robust performance of the system subject to uncertainty and external disturbances. Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed to describe the uncertain nonlinear system plant. A new recursive predictive control scheme, consisting of a control prediction part and a time delay compensate part, is employed to actively compensate the network transmission induced time delays. Our proposed recursive predictive control strategy makes it possible to design virtual controller parameters without considering network delays, which could significantly simplify the controller design process for Networked Control Systems (NCSs). Finally, several numerical simulations have been conducted to show the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed robust predictive control strategy for an uncertain nonlinear networked system.
